Mind Map
This diagram simply shows examples of inputs and outputs that are related to digital imagery.
LO1 - Presentation on Hardware & Software
This link will take you to a presentation website called Prezi, this will show you my understanding of what the differences are between hardware's and software's, including examples.
|
This is the essay that talks about my understanding of the hardware and software used to create graphical images.

LO2 - How Different Types of Graphic Images Relate to File Formats

This is the essay that talks about my understanding on how different types of graphical images relate to file formats.

Looking at Design Cycles
|
Here I produced what I think a design cycle should look like, this looks at the stages in which need to be taken to produce a good product. I first produced this diagram on CoralDraw 11 but unfortunately there was no file format available for this to be uploaded as an image, therefore i had to save it in a word document, the diagram though was still produced on Coral Draw 11.

LO3 - Creating Horizon's using Photoshop
These are two horizon images that I created using Photoshop, the image on the left shows the first horizon I made, this was done using images that were provided by the school, I then found a poem to include to the image to make the image look and become more creative and imaginative. the image on the left was done using my own images that I took. Both of these images were produced using the same technique, I first divided the rectangular canvas into 4 boxes, so each box became a perfect square, I then took each image, and found a flat surface so I could link all the images together, I then using the magic wand and lasso tool removed the background behind the object I will be using. I then placed them next to each other so the surfaces were level with each other. and because the sky had been removed from the original images, I would then add my own gradient to become the new sky, this helped link all the image together because each image no longer looked separate and connected better.
LO3 - Andy Warhol Poster
This is my Andy Warhol poster that I produced using Photoshop, the aim of the poster was to advertise the Modern Tate museum in London. What I had to do was manipulate 4 images of Andy Warhol by using filters, I would first take the image and then select the filter tool, I then selected the "Artist - Cut-out" tool which then made the photos have a cartoon effect, I can then decide how many colours I wanted to include in each photograph, in this case all the photos only had three different colours. I would then highlight each individual colour within the manipulated photo to change the colour properties (for example, top right photo's colours were replaced with blue, orange and yellow). this made the poster more creative and artistic.
I then produced a banner which contained information and the title of the event. |
LO3 - Christmas Card
This is the Christmas card that I produced using Photoshop, the point of this was to practice using the cut-out tools that create stencils of objects which you can then use to cut out objects from other images, in this case I used a stencil of a Christmas tree to cut out that object from a presents wallpaper, this then left the shape of the tree in presents. I then simply added text saying " Merry Christmas" and then added a drop shadow to add depth and make the object and text stand out more.
|
LO3 - The Four Seasons
|
This is the 4 seasons I produced using Photoshop, the idea with this was to produce 4 different seasons without using imagery but only using the tools provided by Photoshop. I then simply added text to identify which season is which.

LO3 - The Rio Olympics Pictograms

File Type: |
This was the design brief of the Rio Olympics 2016 that we had to follow for this part of the Learning Objective.
These are the pictograms and final poster that were produced using Photoshop, above is the evidence document showing how I produced the pictograms. each image used for the pictograms were images that were found on Google.

L04 - Re-Designing School House Logo
|
This is the design brief for LO4, this identified what our client expected me to produce and any further details of what he wanted in the final product.
|
|
This was a specification that was produced after talking to school house reps, they put there opinion forward on what they were looking for and what sort of features they may like to see in the new school house logo.
|
These are three drafts that were produced after looking at the specification, these three logos will then be judge upon by different tutor groups to give there opinion on firstly which logo they prefer, and secondly what changes they would make to the logos, the reason why they are named logo's 4, 5 and 6 is because there were three other drafts from a different student in my class who was doing the same house, so we decided to put the drafts on the same survey, but we would still get our own results and feedback, the tutor groups were also asked to select a slogan from 5 options which they think worked best, and sounded better than the others.
After retrieving the surveys from the different year groups I then produced a logo based on the comments and thoughts of the house reps and the different tutor groups. the students that answered the survey preferred Logo 4, so therefore based the logo on this draft, they also chose to have the slogan "Together We Achieve Greatness" and because the house reps also preferred to also have the slogan in Latin as well as English, the slogan will also be known as "Simul Asswuin Magnitudum".

LO4 - Producing a House Poster
This is the poster that I produced using Photoshop, the brief stated it must include an original photograph as the background, information about sports day, the school logo, and the school house logo. this poster has been produced following all of these requirements.
Both the final logo and poster will then be presented to the client so I can get his final opinion one what he thinks overall about the logo and poster, and whether anything needed to be changed. |
LO4 - Assessment of Logo and Poster Design by Client
The document on the left shows the question sheet i sent to my client before it was answered, showing the questions which will help me get his opinion on the logo and poster, and whether any changes needed to be made. the document on the right shows the feedback i received from my client and any changed i made to the logo and poster based on what he thought.
|
|
These are the final logo and poster that I made after looking at the feedback from the house reps, tutor groups and client throughout the project.

This document shows the legal implications that have to be considered when creating your own material, and whether you are using other people material.
